Hi, I'm Summer.

Raised in a household of avid storytellers, I was surrounded by wild adventures long before the era of cell phones and the internet. Long before time sped away into the busy-ness and noise of today, we would share tales of our crazy antics, sparking laughter and shocking disbelief in those who listened. I learned early on that storytelling builds a unique bridge between people. When we share our experiences, we invite others to examine their own lives and experiences. I mean… we all have stories, right?

I have spent twenty-plus years writing and communicating across the public and private sectors: grant writing for nonprofits, policy development in public service, and helping small businesses and organizations find the words for what they do and why it matters. Good communication has always been the thread. And for me, that thread is always anchored in faith. It shapes how I write, how I show up, and what I believe words are actually for. Today, I tailor stories for families.

This is precisely what led to the creation of Mags & MarMar: The Mystery of the Gruffly Grizzly. While it appears to be a mystery on the surface, it is a fundamental lesson in finding courage even when our imaginations get the best of us.
